In the Bible, we read of lame men, unable to walk or stand on their own, healed by God.

Today, Dr. Evans shed light on a lameness that has nothing to do with an inability to walk, yet can be just as debilitating.

We're told that it's the ninth hour in Acts 3 verse 1.

It is the time of prayer. The ninth hour is three o'clock in the afternoon.

Peter and John are making their way to the prayer meeting.

As they make their way to the temple of the prayer, verse 2 says,

As they come upon a man who's been lame from his mother's womb,

being carried along in order to beg arms of those who were entering the temple.

Here we are introduced to a lame man.

Now, if a man is lame, that means he can't stand on his own two feet.

This man wasn't able to stand up.

His legs were not working.

He's a cripple.

But he's a cripple in front of the church house.

Far too many Christians who come to church come to church as cripples.
