So you remember when I said that these aftershows with interviews with people would never be a replacement for my regular content and I meant that until I got COVID.

0:11.0

And now I am going to release this after show on a Monday on a regular release date because it didn't really make sense to take Monday off but then release a Thursday after show.

0:23.0

But I can't get an episode out for Monday because I'm banished from society at the moment and I cannot record also I'm feeling a little under the weather as COVID tends to do.

0:36.0

I'm mostly okay. You could probably hear it in my voice. It's not 100% fatigue is probably the main symptom I have that sets us apart from like a regular cold.

0:46.0

But that also means after this episode we're going to hear basically an after show for a regular episode. I am going to redo an old insight episode because I have all the base research done and I just have to do the updates and add things in and details that I find because you know,

1:05.0

crime lines is a little bit more detailed than insight was so that is a plan and the hope is that I feel better enough after these next two episodes to just be back to regular content and I won't have to take any more time off or getting creative with releasing content.

1:23.0

Also, if you are on patreon or apple subscriptions that also means the patreon bonus episode is delayed but I have never missed a month in three years of releasing that bonus content.

1:35.0

So it is definitely coming. It's just going to be a little later in the month than I have been getting them out lately.

1:42.0

Also, the patreon and apple subscriber virtual meetups thank goodness they're virtual. They are still happening. I can zoom from anywhere, including my banishment if I'm not able to be back in my studio by then, but I'm hoping we can just do it down in my studio like usual.

1:59.0

I think that's all the updates I have right now I will be back soon as soon as I am released from exile. We will be back on schedule with crime lines continuing as usual. I hope you enjoy this episode. It does cover the brand in loss in case and the recent developments with firsthand accounts from those who were there during the search.

2:20.0

So enjoy the episode and I'll be back when I'm feeling better.

In 2013, Brandon lost and disappeared. For years his last 911 call was analyzed. In 2022, a team of searchers found items that led to the recovery of remains. I'm Charlie and welcome to crime lines.

2:57.0

This episode is a little bit of a different format than my usual one. Instead of doing a deep dive on the details of a case, what I'm going to do is give you an overview of the case.

3:10.0

And then you're going to hear an interview I did with two members of the search team that led to the recovery of what is presumed to be Brandon Lawson's remains.

3:21.0

The two people are Whitney and Melissa. They are the hosts of the podcast Colts, Crimes and Cabernet. They are also good friends of mine.

3:31.0

I'm sure a lot of people have listened to coverage of this case. It's one of those cases that is regularly covered on podcasts with deep dives, which is why it's usually not the kind of content I cover here on crime lines.

3:46.0

There are so many podcasts out there that have done a phenomenal job covering this that I really wouldn't have anything to add to it.

3:54.0

But after the search party and talking to Whitney and Melissa, I feel like now there is something I can add to this conversation.

4:03.0

And that is their first hand account of what it was like to be on that search party.

4:09.0

Even though I'm sure a lot of you already know the basics of this case, I want to give the background to those who may not know or need a refresher on it before we launch into the circumstances of the search.

4:23.0

And what it was like, and I mean really what it was like to be there that day, Whitney and Melissa do a great job putting us right with them where you can picture the area, you can feel the wind.

4:36.0

So let's cover the case and then you'll hear what I mean when we get to the interview.
