Welcome back to Forum. I'm Mina Kim. A scorching heat wave is now hitting California that's bringing

with it triple-digit temperatures in some inland areas and warnings that residents may

be asked to conserve electricity. This is not the state's first rodeo with intense heat waves,

of course, but in June, we look at what's bringing the heat and how to protect vulnerable

loved ones.

Joining us is David Lawrence, a meteorologist and emergency response specialist with the National Weather Service.
