Summary

In this episode, Robert argues that Jesus is ultimate truth manifested as observable truth. By his resurrection, Jesus meets the demands of both religious faith and enlightenment doubt. If Jesus is risen, then Jesus is true; and if Jesus is true, everything we want to be true is true.

2:16.5

truth. Who says that? I was born. I am here in this world

2:23.9

to tell the world, to show the world the truth. And Pilate's response perfectly expresses

2:31.0

the longstanding frustration that we have with truth. Dismissively, perhaps

2:38.0

even cynically, pilot replies, what is truth? Only three words, but they summarize the human

dilemma and the human endeavor. For all of history, we have been chasing those three
