Summary

What if the real question isn’t whether you’ll consider Jesus—but how you’ll consider Him? In Part 2 of his “Reconsider Christianity” series, Robert argues that you can’t actually escape considering Christ. Even in a post-Christian moment, Jesus remains unavoidable. He challenges listeners to lay down the baggage of both Christian culture and post-Christian culture and to consider Jesus on His own terms—letting Christ define Christianity, not the other way around.

that is difficult to see it as anything special. I said the crisis of a Christian culture is that

1:37.3

Christianity becomes merely a culture. And even worse, that Christian culture has a long history

of baggage associated with it.

1:46.2

How could it not?

1:47.8

Inevitably, with so many churches and so many Christians, chances are you or someone you care about has been harmed by Christianity.

easily be viewed as harmless at best or even hurtful at worse.

2:10.6

Thus, if I'm going to ask you to consider Christianity, then I need to ask you to reconsider.

2:17.3

To block out all the cultural noise, see past

all the cultural mess, lay down all the cultural baggage, and with fresh openness, reconsider
