Your art is your child. Your art is your child. Your child is in a burning building. Are you going to stand by the sidewalk and wait for the authorities to come?

Or are you going to go in the burning building and save your child?

I don't know.

You know, if you're going to stand by the sidewalk and wait for the authorities to come,

are you going to be able to live with yourself if that building comes crashing down and you know I

want to walk through the fire because I can't

Imagine not doing this thing.

And so when people are looking for some sort of safe way

or when people ask me if they should write a book or something,

my response is always, you do it if you have no choice. You do it because you feel it so

deep inside of you and it's such a strong feeling that you just can't see any other way.

And so that's the conclusion of that post

and that's the way that I still feel about this

is that no, I don't recommend this life.

If you're looking for security,

if you're looking for a sure thing,

I don't recommend this.

But if you just have this burning inside of you,

you feel like you have no choice, then you don't have any choice.

So what are you going to do?

You know, you have to do it.
