In that moment, I saw my need for Jesus.

He was my friend, but I needed him to be my Savior.

I needed him to save me.

And that's what I didn't understand in high school.

That t-shirt, I'm the wretch, the song refers to.

I didn't understand that I needed Jesus to save me from my wretchedness,

from my sin, from my guilt, from my shame. And that's exactly what he does. And he says it so

I'm Katie Dunn. I'm Robin Cowan. And I'm Lindy Walker. And we are your podcast host. As well as part of the

Storytellers Live ministry where simple life stories are helping women all over the country not only

increase their faith in Christ, find freedom in Christ, but also build community

among women. And we do that through live gatherings that we have across the country that meet

in homes. Today we have Dawson Cooper, who is from our Mountain Brook community, which is one of our

newest communities. And if you're new to storytellers, we are live gatherings around the country. Every single story is

recorded from a live gathering. And this one is right down the road from us in Birmingham.

You know, Dawson's story really reminded me one of the reasons behind the creation of storytellers,

and that is just breaking down walls and letting you really get to know the story behind the person that is telling

it. Dawson actually attends a studio that I teach at. So I knew her in passing, you know, as a

student, but I had no idea about her story. And so I just, I loved hearing her background. And, you know,

this is a story of an unplanned pregnancy,

an unplanned marriage, unmet desires of dreams that she had when she was younger.
