In this powerful follow-up to the rebrand, Chris Terrell takes you deeper into the mindset behind Becoming Thin. This episode confronts the emotional weight behind the word thin, challenges you to stop running from your goals, and invites you to redefine transformation on your own terms.

Chris introduces The Core Four Goals—to become Thin, Healthy, Happy, and In Shape—and explains why chasing only thinness, fitness, or health isn’t enough. You’ll hear raw truth, practical mindset shifts, and a call to reclaim the word thin the same way other communities have reclaimed language once used to hurt them.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • Why losing weight doesn’t automatically make you happy
  • How emotional weight keeps people stuck more than physical weight
  • Why you’re not broken—you’re conditioned (and conditioning can be changed)
  • How to define thin, healthy, happy, and in shape on your terms
  • What it means to outgrow your old self—and why it’s essential
  • The reason diets fail and mindset-first transformation lasts
  • How to lean into discomfort, fear, and identity shifts to create permanent change

After an entire adulthood of chronic yo-yo dieting, up, down, up, down again.

And I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired, fat, out of shape, unhealthy,

0:51.6

and I decided to do something about it.

0:59.0

And I made some permanent and meaningful and actual changes. To my lifestyle, habits, routines, environment, community, and to my systems of belief. Because it's all of those things that created the results in my life, and if I wanted to become a thin, healthy, happy, and in-shaped version of me,

1:06.0

I was going to have to go change all of those.

1:09.0

And now I'm here each week to help you do the same thing.

1:28.2

get back to the work. I know some of you, this using of the word thin has awakened a battle

1:34.0

within you with your self-image and with your own concept of what you can and cannot do. And now

1:40.1

you're having all these questions that float around your mind. It'd almost be easier to yell at me

1:44.2

to stop using the word thin than for you to confront the reality, which is you actually do possess
