Christmas is almost here.

But it's Advent First.

Don't get ahead of yourself. Although I think I will. Is that a double standard? Yeah, it probably is.

Checking today's program notes. Yep, got a lot on deck. Thank you are listening to fighting for the faith. My name is Chris Roseborough and I am

your servant in Jesus Christ and this is the program that dishes up a daily dose of

biblical discernment the goal of which is to get you to think biblically to get you to

think critically and to compare what people are saying in the name of God to the word of God.

And I am not, not, not exempt from this little exercise. Here's the deal. God's word is true and even if I or an angel

from heaven preaches to you a gospel other than the one recorded for us in 1st Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1 through 6 let them be

eternally condemned saying why that well the reason being is that that was the gospel that the apostle Paul preached to every

town that he went into. And he and Galatians, in the epistle to the Galatian churches,

makes it clear that if anyone, including an angel from heaven,

preaches a different gospel other than the one that he preached, the one he

preached is recorded for us in 1st Corinthians chapter 15 versus 1 through 6, then that person is to be eternally

condemned.

Good news, the gospel if you would, is a proclamation of what Christ has done for us.

And the call of the gospel is plain and simple, it's the same call that the apostle Peter uses in

Acts chapter 2, repentance and the forgiveness of sins. Or it's the one that Jesus

calls us to proclaim in Luke chapter 24. Proclaim repentance and the forgiveness of sins in Jesus' name to all nations.
