Tonight we're going to play for you this really special episode that we did at our new space at Tidelands, our new recording studio gallery and boutique in downtown Seattle. And the topic of our live podcast recording was around Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving relatives.

This episode is coming out on Thanksgiving.

So I hope that you are with your loved ones.

I hope that you have the day off. I hope that you're eating cinnamon rolls and, you know, or maybe deer or elk

or salmon and that, you know, you're having a really great time with your loved ones. I do want to

send out my good tidings and my love to everyone because really, you know, I don't want to be

like a curmudgeonini grinch of Thanksgiving.

I do love coming together with my family.

And I love to give thanks.

And I love to spend my time and energy thinking about what I'm grateful for.

I am so grateful, A, to be able to just do this podcast,

to have an audience, to have the resources and the community support and the team, you know,

that I work with, my friends, my family, my loved ones, you know, Teo for making this podcast and Temris for doing it alongside

me and our whole team here at all my relations. It really is a blessing to be just to be able

to do this work, to tell stories. And I feel blessed in my personal life too. You know, I feel blessed

and grateful for all the good things in my life.

And, and so I, you know, I feel, I feel conflicted, honestly, putting out another episode

about Thanksgiving.

I think it's exhausting.

I think it's exhausting that every year in November for Native American Heritage Month, we have to push back against these larger American myths.

I think it's labor that doesn't belong to me, but labor that I have been given.
