0:55.2	public. So I guess before we get into the main episode, do you mind just telling us a bit more
1:01.2	about yourself and, I suppose, your journey with feminism? Because I think they'll segue quite
1:06.0	nicely into the topic that we're going to discuss today. Yeah. I mean, I feel like I've been a feminist for as long as I can remember.
1:16.4	Like, I remember being a little kid, you know, being 10 years old and in elementary school
1:23.2	and up in arms about sexism and storming off to the principal's office to complain about it.
1:30.4	And, you know, it's something my mother was a feminist, so I feel like I always noticed social dynamics between boys and girls.
1:39.8	And as I advanced and became a young woman, you know, I came of age during really almost peak third wave feminism, I suppose, in the late 90s.
1:52.8	And so when I started having sex, you know, it was the rise of hookup culture.
2:00.5	And, you know, we learned as young women during that time,
2:05.1	and I think now as well, maybe even more so now,
2:08.6	that we could have sex just like boys,
2:13.0	and, you know, that it was empowering to be promiscuous,
2:17.3	that, you know, it was sort of good to push away your feelings and not get attached.
2:23.5	You know, so I think I sort of attempted that for a little while.
