Summary

For readers familiar with the series, this is a short story about Uther, the head of palace security, and Sable, the palace stylist. Protecting the queen is my only job, and I’m the best at it. Lately, though, one woman has destroyed my indestructible focus. Sable. Even her name renders me unable to think of anything but how soft she might feel against me. The palace stylist insists on pestering me about measurements and uniforms, but the more I dismiss her, the bolder she becomes. When she finally takes things a step too far, she threatens to push me right over the edge.
