This week we are recharging in nature by looking at how stepping out into wild country, like one of the UK's 15 National Parks, replenishes our well-being batteries.

But there's a disconnect for drivers of electric cars like the one we're sitting in.

Many of the national parks are very much off-grid,

paradoxically putting those doing their bit for the environment with an electric car

from benefiting through potential fear of running out of charge in the middle of nowhere.

Fortunately there's now a new initiative to solve the problem by powering up national parks

with improved charging infrastructure and also investing in their conservation and boosting biodiversity.
