Go please to the book of Revelation, the 11th chapter, and we'll begin reading about the 15th verse.

We've been on a series for a little while now.

We're calling receiving a full reward.

The scripture has much to say about our reward, both in this time and in the time to come.

And if the scripture says a lot about something, you shouldn't ignore it.

Shouldn't act like it doesn't matter. shouldn't act like you don't care.

You know, sometimes people say, oh, you know, I don't, I don't care about all that.

I don't talk about reward.

I just, you know, just want to please the Lord.

Well, it pleases him to give you a reward.

Right?

And that's a false, fake humility.

And it's a lack of understanding.

Understanding what we're talking about now will motivate you in this life.

It'll change your priorities and your focus. It'll help you

to learn what's important and what's not. It'll help us to be aware of how brief our time is here

and how real heaven is and how close and real what's about to happen next is.

Our life here on earth is the briefest thing we will ever do. It is the blink of an eye.

Remember the scripture said in James, what is your life? It's a vapor

that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Our life, from God's perspective, our

duration of our life on earth, is like a morning mist. You see it for just a little while, and then it's evaporated. It's gone.

That's not something to be upset about. A lot of times people don't want to talk about death.
