I'm Michelle, I'm Christina.

And this is a brand new podcast called Truth's Table.

So we think that it's important to introduce ourselves and give you our listeners,

our receipts and the reason for this podcast.

So where are you ladies from and why is it important to you to do this podcast?

I'm from St. Louis and I'm born and raised love the Lou. I'm so proud to be a native and I am part of this podcast in part because

a Kimini's sheer tenacity to say we need black voices that are authentically,

genuinely proud to be both black and female, women who are standing up and saying we are people of faith and people of faith have something to say.

So I'm excited to bring or be part of something that we hope to bring another piece of this broad narrative into a spectrum of incredible voices,

cloud of witnesses that have already been gathered

in terms of seeking justice and discussing culture,

politics, what's going on, what does representation mean?

I'm part of this because I feel like deep down,

if this is what you do in your regular daily life,

you don't have no choice but to put it on record at some point. So I think the three of us will go on record all the time like we this is what we do. This is who we are so I'm excited

That's good stuff. Good stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Christina here and I born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and live now in the

Midwest but have moved across the country to some different places along the way before I got to Michigan.

Yeah, so why this podcast?

To be honest with you, it's a bit like free therapy for me.
