That is true, Reese Davis, who has seen a lot of basketball in our state, I'm sure would agree.

went to school in this state. I got to imagine seeing Alabama and Auburn play the first

one-two SEC game ever feels kind of strange to you. It's, I mean, it's spectacular in a testament

to what both programs have done and the,

the emphasis that they've put on making sure that they have elite basketball programs. And,

you know, the rivalry has been great for people in the state and fans of both schools and maybe

even around the SEC to some degree for a number of years.

You know, I mean, dating back to Barclay in person and, you know, Buck and Enimo and, you know,

Big Dyson, Spreewell, and Ori and all of those guys that they've had.

But now this rivalry has evolved and taken a step up because, you know, we've had kick-six in the grave digger,

but we've never had one versus two in football. And now we've got it in basketball. And, you know,

they're going to meet at least one more time after this. And both teams are certainly capable of

going to the final four, maybe winning a national championship.

Though certainly the tournament's a bit of a crapshoot.

But what's going to happen Saturday is for the first time, the first one versus two meeting between these two is going to be special.

And we're looking forward.

The students and the fans gave us a great, great show the last time we were in Alabama last year,

first time we'd ever been there for basketball.
