Welcome to the recap for the Roto Shadows Season 3.

This is a short summary of events that occurred in the previous season.

Daniel proposes a theory about both his and Amber's unique reactions to the shadows,

suggesting a form of synesthesia where they each perceive the shadows differently.

Daniel threw smell and Amber through illness.

He expresses concern for Amber's well-being, suggesting they might be safer if they stop hunting shadows altogether.

Amber, however, is determined to continue their fight. They focus on a shadow named Susan Blake in Black Ridge, who runs a homeless shelter within the town.

Daniel has a personal history with Blake and is determined to confront her.

While staying in Black Ridge, Amber experiences a dreamlike intrusion by a shadow named Drageisa,

who tries to manipulate her into leaving Daniel.

At the local hardware store, Daniel and Amber purchased glow sticks,

hoping these might prove to be an effective method of combating the shadow's ability

to shut down lamps and

flashlights. Later, the two of them follow Blake to an abandoned building on the edge of

town where Blake locks herself inside a panic room. Unexpectedly, another shadow named

Ruggaso shows up and manages to free Blake and the two of them escape and go into hiding.

Tasked with tracking down the shadows once more, Daniel suggests using Amber's senses

to help guide them in their search.

They find the shadows hiding in a farmhouse outside of town.

Upon entering the farmhouse, Amber falls through a trapped door and is knocked unconscious

by Rigaso, who was lying in wait.

Daniel pursues Blake into a barn and finds himself trapped.
