It's Monday, March 9th. Just a reminder, I'm headed out Thursday. I'll be at trial all next week. Monday through Thursday, there's no court Friday, but looks like we'll be in the defense

case, which could be very interesting.

So I'll be doing some live updates at lunch, doing my recaps, although it'll only be one a day.

However, Thursday, the recap will not be in depth, and there may not be one at all, just because I'm traveling

all day from South Carolina to Utah with connections. It's about eight hours, so I'm not sure

I'll have the energy to do it. But if anything major happens, I will do a small update.

Last week, Corey's friend Chelsea talked about a video. It shows people gathered around shotgun and beers, and that's

about it. And the first witness of the day, Cody Wright, Eric's business partner, they met in

high school, and he was actually an acquaintance of Cody's brothers, and that's how they met.

They became friends through hunting, and that led to just lifelong fun and events and them working together.

Eric went to work for Cody's family business hog tending.

They both served LDS missions and came home and continued working at Cody's family business.

They started C&E masonry in 2010.

As far as when they owned the business, he saw Eric a couple of times a week.

They did talk daily. They would eat lunch together, and they saw more of each other in the

fall through winter when they were hunting together. One thing that I thought was really sweet

is when he was asked, what was Eric like? He referred to Eric in the present tense and not the

past tense. He said, Eric is feisty, hardworking, funny, life of the party. He did hang out with

Eric and the boys. Eric had asked him to work with one of his sons on pitching, and he said,
