As the federal government moves all too slowly to address the climate crisis, cities are stepping

up.

There's hundreds of cities around America that have said, look, we want to be 100% renewable

or 80% renewable or 50% by the year 2030.

These local programs aren't just innovating on energy and sustainability.

They're transforming lives.

This one person who became a foreman, he was able to have a secure income, get married by his own house,

put his daughter through college. And this was really transformative for him.

These efforts are also listening to people often not heard. It's not just the person who works at a consulting firm with a fancy briefcase, but it's also the grandmother who sits in the room looking out the window and can tell you everything you need to know about the speed in the neighborhood.
