The market rebound was fueled by remarks Treasury

Secretary Scott Bessent made behind closed doors when he reportedly told a group of massive

investors privately that the tariff standoff between two countries is unsustainable and would have

to de-escalate between the United States and China. He also acknowledged, quote, a comprehensive deal could take two or three years.

Late this afternoon, Besson's boss, President Trump, gave his thoughts about those potential

trade talks.
