Well, it's the beginning of June, which means it's time to talk about the Los Angeles Film Festival.

It's 17th edition, and here with me are David Anson, and, well, Rebecca, thanks for coming back.

Thematically, let's start with you, Rebecca, the things you were looking to do that you didn't get to last year, because David's a pretty new addition to this whole thing.

David joined us last year as artistic director, and to my great delight came back.

And I think we've created quite a formidable team now.

about what we're trying to achieve, I think you'll see this year again tremendous consistency

of quality. What we aim to do with the program is really present the best of the films that we've

had the privilege of seeing, whether they be studio films, whether they be independence, whether they be micro-budget films, whether they be larger, more

extravagant works from more established directors. And it's really, this year is really a continuation

on what we sought to achieve last year with just excellence of programming and films that we

want to bring to our audiences here in Los Angeles.
