All right, it's a two for today. I meant to do a reasonable suspicion video and I didn't do it. I should have done it last week. People were asking me about a five or six guys reaching out to me to better explain reasonable suspicion. I'm going to just go a cappella on it and try to give you the best answer I can. Without a

textbook you can always Google reasonable suspicion or real or

articulable suspicion which is generally unique to New Jersey and that term but let's talk about it a little bit

let's talk about interdiction let's talk about reasonable suspicion what it is where it starts

how it's developed and what to do with it once you have it.

So, when does reasonable suspicion start?

Well, a lot of times, the techniques that I explain is to have yourself be visible to cars that are passing because we're trying to invoke a reaction to your presence.

So it really starts the moment that a person cites a law enforcement officer, you know, whether in a marked patrol car,

whether on foot, even on foot, maybe working a, in a circumstance or some kind of setting where people

are being engaged in criminal activity spot you and start having a weird reaction to your presence.

I was good at that too, and I'm not trying to shoot my horn, but that's even at that in those kind of settings where it's outside of a motor vehicle,

you can have reasonable suspicion as well.

So it can happen like every other car was doing 50 or 55 or 50 to 60 miles an hour in a 50 mile an hour zone and all of a sudden maybe

a thousand cars past you or a couple hundred cars past you.

This other car was driving down the highway, saw you and hit the

brakes for no reason from 49 miles an hour in a 50 mile hour zone down to 33 miles an

hour, went from the middle lane into the right lane, and promptly exited

off into a neighborhood that has no other reason for somebody else to be in other than the fact that the people who live there are the

residents is no there's no commerce there there's no buildings or stores and if they're not

visiting or live there there's no reason for them to go into there so you follow that car

you effectuate the stop you go up to the car, and as you're walking up,

maybe you're picking up on things and indicators that are taught and all these interdiction classes
