Or maybe you could say like a combination of feelings in the air.

Because there's a certain sort of helpless, powerless.

How are these people getting away with this?

Can't everybody see how insane this is?

And what did happen to the Supreme Court?

Sending troops into cities, silencing the press, selling hats for a third term in 2028. There's like a what,

right? Are you feeling that with me? Just a what is happening. And it isn't just the lying and grift and oppression and just flat out incompetence.

There's like, God, it's mixed with something else. So I want to try to name this.

And then all I want to do is point out there are a couple ways to read it.

Okay, so I just want to point out the story that you tell about this,

there's a number of different stories that you can tell about this,

and they're all important, but there's something else here because it isn't just,

how is this happening? How are these people who are in charge? How are they getting away with

this? There's also, and here's the mix, it's also mixed with a certain absurdity.

Have you found yourself with your head spinning a sort of

swirly, it's like cartoonish, like the directors of agencies who are in so far over their head,

like attorney generals who literally just straightforward

aren't going to tell the truth. Or secretaries, I was going to say secretary of defense,

but it's more like secretary of projections. Like it's not me, it's you. Chiefs of staff
