Hey guys, I'm your host Tara A. Devlin, and welcome to this week's episode of Kowabana,

true Japanese scary stories from around the internet. As we're nearing our 100th episode, I thought I'd do another

slightly longer episode this week, celebrating yet another classic that we haven't yet featured

on the show. This story was shared on Ney Channel back in 2009, and it instantly became a hit,

one that people still talk about today. It's a meaty story with an ending you won't

soon forget. And as a small note before we start, you may or may not have noticed that

many of these stories don't give anyone names. They're usually A-san, B-kun, and so on, or often

just represented by a circle or an X.

For the purposes of this story, the main character refers to their friend in text as

two circles, which in Japanese would be pronounced Madhu-Mudu.

As such, that's what I'll be saying throughout the story as well.

And with that out of the way, let's head right in.

This one's called Real.

I'll say this first.

If you ever get possessed, targeted, or shadowed, it's seriously

not funny. And another thing, if you'll let me speak from experience, there's no guarantee

that everything will be fine even if you perform a purification once or twice. It'll eat away

at you over a long period of time. There are a lot of things

that can't be exercised at all. In my case, it's been about two and a half years. At any rate,

as time has passed, I've been able to live normally and in good health. But, unfortunately, I can't be sure that it's all over.
