| 0:00.0 | What boundaries did you set in your dating relationship? |
| 0:09.0 | And this was a really great question. |
| 0:11.0 | Honestly, we kind of went a different route than just having like, |
| 0:15.0 | if you're talking about physical boundaries, which we can talk about other boundaries too, |
| 0:19.0 | I guess, there's a lot of different boundaries. But physically speaking, we didn't say, like, we're not going to do this, this, and this, and we are going to do this, this, this is and this. Like, here's the boundary, because I do feel like when you have a boundary, like, you typically just go to the boundary line, right? And you teeter that. Yeah. And then you just cross it. And you feel bad. All this stuff. |
| 0:38.8 | And like, we just wanted to not make it such a. laundry line, right? Like, you teeter that. Yeah. And then you just cross it and you feel bad. |
| 0:38.0 | And it's like all this stuff. And like we just wanted to not make it such a like there's a line, |
| 0:42.9 | but more just like we have a relationship with God. And like we're pursuing God and we're pursuing God. |
| 0:47.2 | And we're pursuing God's plan for our life and for a relationship. And God's plan is purity. |
| 0:52.1 | And God's plan is one man or one woman for marriage. And |
| 0:56.8 | I will say like that wasn't our that wasn't what our past looked like, you know, but we had an |
| 1:03.1 | opportunity when we came together for our future like different than like people that we did |
| 1:07.5 | in the past. And we both wanted God's plan. We wanted to pursue that. And so together, |
| 1:12.2 | we made a decision, hey, we're going to do that. And that looks like purity and that looks like this. |
| 1:18.9 | And so we really pursued that. And that was that boundary in the sense of like, you know, just conversations |
| 1:24.1 | of before I pursue you, I'm going to pursue God. And then out of that relationship, that's going to cause me to love you the best that I can is going to make me be more patient with you and more loving and gracious. And if I get those two mixed up, then I'll start, you know, putting you on this pedestal that you can't live up to. So I think that was the boundary that we really talked about a lot. Yeah. So the biggest boundary is definitely like loving God first and then loving each other. And that's still true. |
| 1:47.9 | Like I hope that's always our life that we love God first and we love each other. And then we |
| 1:52.4 | love our family and our friends and people, you know. One thing that we learned looking back |
| 1:58.3 | is that we were we were able to remain pure in our relationship and we abstained |
| 2:05.1 | from having sex before marriage but with how much of a struggle that was at times and like |
| 2:12.6 | we made mistakes and it was really hard because both of us had not remained pure before we were together. |
| 2:23.8 | But looking back, after we were married, it was like, man, if we had started dating when we initially tried to start dating, had the Lord not stopped that we would have for sure, |
