My friend, strength often does not announce itself.

And this is captured beautifully in one of Aesop's fables called The Oxen and the Axel Trees.

I'm going to read it to you and then probably you're going to relate to this story on some level.

And I'm going to give you a little takeaway based on my interpretation.

Here it is my friends.

The Oxen and the Axel Trees.

A heavy wagon was being dragged along a country lane by a team of oxen. The axle trees groaned and creaked terribly. When the oxen

turning around thus addressed the wheels, hello there, why'd you make so much noise? We bear all the labour and we, not you, ought to cry out.

Moral, those who suffer the most often cry out the least.

I found this to be true in so many situations. The loudest people aren't, or rarely,

are the ones carrying the heavy load. I mean, look around. The quiet teammate, the parent who

just gets it all done, the friend who just keeps going no matter what, my friend,

these people are our heroes. We need these steady people who aren't complaining, who aren't

announcing how much they're doing, who are just getting on with it. Because in the world today,

you know, if you think about it, it's the complainers who get

attention, right? It's people who have all these opinions, who share them, who make these

big, bold statements. They get attention from others, don't they? It's just the reality of it.

But if you think about it, in real life, isn't it the steady ones that people who are showing up to work each day, the people who are going through the motions, the people who are just doing what's required of them honestly and fairly, they're the ones who keep the wall turning my friends. Because, as we said at the beginning of this episode, strength doesn't announce itself.

Maybe you feel like, gosh, I'm doing all these things and no one's appreciating it.
