which is to say that Florentino Perez is still the man with all of the power at Madrid.

But it wasn't as easy, Luke, as he probably expected. It wasn't as easy because some fella sat on national telly with an island shirt and said he was going to buy him. So that's why it weren't as easy. And then I was showing you in the office wearing on the other day, the first added cut to was a vote for Florentino Perez had straight out there. It was the paper to be there. Elite shit, I was it. And it was funny and they'd find it.

But yeah, I'd love to know how these like elections work. Anyone really have to load down on it. Did they release a percentage, how much he won by? Yeah, he got 65% of the vote. So 35% for Raquelme was it? Yeah. It was the other guy. It was the first time that he has been, actually had someone to go again since 2009,

when he went back in.

From 2006 to 2009, Perez was like 2000 to 2006,

oversaw the Galacticos.

Then there was someone else from 2006 to 2009, then Perez

has been there uncontested since. Now, he actually had a mandate to go up until, I think it was

2029 anyway, but he knew that Raquelme was planning to go in for the next election. So we called

a snap election, gave two weeks basically to Raquelme, who then had to

stump up like 178 million of guarantees, personal guarantees in his own dough and stuff

like that.

So it's quite a wild thing, really, that he even got this far and got 35% of the vote.

But I think what Raquelme wanted is it to stay with members.

I think what Perez is saying is he's going to sell off a little bit to the club to outside investors for the first time and that's why I think Raquelmi got as bigger vote as he did I suppose So he was trying to sort of keep like I assume it's a bit of a German model then Railroadred where they have It's all owned by the members So there's Athletic Bilbao Yeah There's Barcelona
