There are so many people in this world today who are trying to figure out the secret of

happiness, and they're miserable because they have made that elusive happiness their goal,

that idea that they have of what joy is.

They've made that the goal. And so, like sand,

sifting through their fingers, it just keeps slipping away and slipping away. And yet,

the Lord has revealed to us in Scripture the way to true and lasting joy. Real joy is always

found in following God's way. You see, this is the beautiful truth.

God has made it so that what brings him the greatest glory also brings us the greatest good.

And so we return today to Psalm 149, this Hallelujah chorus of Scripture. We learned in our

last study that there is power in a hallelujah.

What is that power?

Well, let's begin with this one today.

Listen to verse one and two again.

Praise ye the Lord, sing into the Lord a new song and his praise in the congregation of saints.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him.
