0:13.2	Praise ye the Lord.
0:15.1	As we enter the season of Thanksgiving and praise, Scott is walking us through this crescendo of praise, a study he is calling
0:23.6	the Hallelujah Chorus. In our busy lives, we must make time to praise the Lord not only for what
0:31.0	he's given us, but praise the Lord for who he is. And when our heart is filled with praise, we are ready for worship.

0:46.2	There are so many people in this world today who are trying to figure out the secret of happiness,
0:51.3	and they're miserable because they have made that elusive happiness their goal,
0:57.3	that idea that they have of what joy is.
1:01.5	They've made that the goal.
1:02.6	And so like sand sifting through their fingers, it just keeps slipping away and slipping away.
1:09.0	And yet the Lord has revealed to us in Scripture the way to true and lasting joy.
1:14.2	Real joy is always found in following God's way.
1:18.8	You see, this is the beautiful truth.
1:21.0	God has made it so that what brings him the greatest glory also brings us the greatest good.
1:27.2	And so we return today to Psalm 149, this
1:30.8	hallelujah chorus of scripture. We learned in our last study that there is power in a hallelujah.
1:37.3	What is that power? Well, let's begin with this one today. Listen to verse one and two again. Praise
1:42.3	you the Lord, sing into the Lord a new song and his praise in the congregation of saints.
1:47.9	Let Israel rejoice in him that made him.
1:51.4	Let the children of Zion be joyful in their king.
1:56.1	Do you hear the singing?
