I'm your host, Gips and Johns, and today's episode of the show is our real Housewives

of Orange County, end-of-season deep dive for season 18, which just came to an end with part

three of its reunion last Thursday.

It really was a banner season for this show.

I've said it many times on my

podcast and I'd been really enjoying the Daily Beast Recaps all season. So I decided to invite on

the writer behind those recaps, Alec Karam, on to do the deep dive look back with me. It was

actually his first ever podcast appearance and he was great. Reminder that my approaches to these,

much like my episodes in

general, is less about rehashing every single little detail or development or storyline. And it's more

about the major takeaways, what sticks out on the season, touching on each of the cast members

and dynamics that stick out to us, while also considering what it all means for the next season

of the show. We broke it all down

and Alec was absolutely fantastic. I loved his opinions and we both sort of landed on just being

really excited about what this season means for the future of this franchise because obviously

OC was in dire straits there for a little bit, but they've righted the ship

pretty quickly. And we both kind of think that this season is setting them up well, not just to

have like a really great season next year, but also to have great seasons for years to come. So we

think OC is in really good shape. And that's sort of where we net out. But we had a really,

really good conversation about it all. There were also a ton of developments over the weekend and little updates that came out of Bravo's fan fest event in Miami. Sadly, I was not there in person. I had a lot of FOMO. And I will be at BravoCon in Vegas next year. And I'm going to mention a bunch of those most notable tidbits and news items that came out of that weekend during
