The Real Housewives of New York are looking to hire a black star.

So after years, almost a decade of pretty much being a very, very white show. And now the Real Housewives

New York are looking to add some diversity to the cast. The show is desperately looking right

now in New York to find a lady of colour, maybe more than one, to start when they begin filming

again. The show has shut down. They finish their season, so they're all in the can.

They're going to air those episodes.

And then before they start filming again,

they're looking to add a new lady or two to shake up the cast.

Now, a few years ago, Countess Luann introduced Bravo to one of her African-American friends.

They met together.

She met with production people, casting people.

But in the end, it didn't work out.

Now I'm told my sources tell me, Andy Cohen, who's the executive producer of the show,

is heading up the search.
