Single parenting has got to be one of the hardest jobs in the world. And if you're close to someone in your community who's walking that road of being a single mom or a dad, this episode can give them hope. I'm John Fuller with the head of our parenting team, Dr. Danny Werta. And Danny, I think most of us, especially here in the U.S., know somebody who's struggling as a single parent, doing everything there is to do.

And it's tough. I mean, it really is. And the statistics show that there are about 25% of single parents in our community.

That actually translates to 18 million parents that are single parents trying to day-to-day

pour into their children.

15 million of those are single moms.

Three million are dads.

And so if you think about that, there are different dynamics between the two, and there are 51 million-ish kids being raised in two-parent homes.

And so if you think of that, there's so many different factors within homes.

It doesn't mean that a two-parent home is healthier necessarily than a single-parent home, depending on dynamics there.
