Nearly 15 years ago, February 2008, on a lonely highway in East Texas,

a state trooper pulled over a vehicle for an expired registration sticker.

When the state trooper walked up to the car, he found three people inside, a 20-year-old

woman named Carol, her boyfriend, who was 18, and the driver. His name was James Dixon

Graves, Dickie. The state trooper found booze in the car and a fully loaded 22-caliber handgun.

When he popped the trunk

there was weird stuff in there three fully loaded handguns four digital cameras a

camcorder a couple of tripods like for filming an electrical sex toy and

porno DVDs this was dicky'sie Graves, a Gilmer native living

in the nearby town of Lone Star. Dickie was this schlubby, balding guy in his late 40s with
