When I was writing my memoir, I found a box of journals detailing my vulnerable past experiences.

These are diaries from my younger self.

This is a diary entry from the set of Camp Rock.

I'm assuming I was probably struggling with body image-related things

and feeling upset with myself.

I feel sick and ashamed.

I feel gross, unlovable.

My tired and puffy eyes, my nose and throat congested, dirty with all these infections.

I feel small and powerless on Camp Rock set.

Maybe I should smear that in ink in case.

I just feel uncomfortable for being different, misplaced.

I don't know how to hang out or do small talk.

I'm also missing my run tonight.

Maybe I'll do a double tomorrow and just focus on the work and doing well.

First, please, like, don't read into this or try to make assumptions about other people or the experience

because there are a billion moments that this could be referring to.

And I was a teenager trying to sort out how to be a human being while my body's going through

puberty while I'm on a set making a movie that millions of people are going to watch.

So in my experience, I do remember specifically,

like one by one observing the other cast members.
