I do think that a mistake that a lot of people make is that they don't pace their puts. If they had a guy asked me, why do you pace your puts? And I said, so I know how far to hit them. That sounds like a smart aleck answer, but it's the truth. You will laser a shot from 220 yards, where accuracy is not at a premium. The odds of hitting it in the hole from 220 yards, it must be one in a million,

0:21.6

but the chance of making a 10 footer is very high. Yet we never paced that distance. We don't even know how far it is.

0:28.6

We're making the assumption that it's 10 feet. You know, the closer to the hole we get, I think we need to be more accurate.

0:34.6

And I think that people that pace their pucks develop, feel

0:38.1

faster, and feel is just experience. I think if you're pacing your pucks, it doesn't take long to

do it. Most of the time you're walking past the hole to your ball. So it's easy to knock that out

really quick and doesn't slow up play. Hi, this is Mike Ramos from Navarre, Florida, and I played

podcast, Tim. Thank you very much, Fred. I appreciate it. Thank you for having me. Oh, yeah. I'm excited to talk to you because I've told lots of people this over the years.

1:31.1

I like talking to caddies. Actually, I like talking to caddies more than PGA tour players

1:37.1

because PGA tour players generally get, you know, they've been burned by the media. They've got to learn how to protect

1:45.2

themselves. Caddies don't care what they say or who they're talking about. That's been my

1:51.3

experience. They're just fun loving and love telling stories. Yeah, for sure. I mean,

1:57.1

you can get in trouble every once in a while, but yeah. You need to say whatever.

2:02.2

Wait a minute. Have you gotten in trouble?

2:05.7

No, I mean, you're not obviously working for Bryson, high profile player.

2:10.2

You know, you, we just keep, you know, I never did interviews.
