Hello and welcome to Mind of Micah. Today is Part 3 of Micah's Reed of the Week.

The Wildest Insurance Fraud Scheme Texas has ever seen. As we've learned in

parts one and two, this is a story about a whole lot more than insurance fraud. Part

one we see that a ATF agent is

investigating the arson of an airplane, a small airplane on a small hangar, and starts investigating

a very interesting character named TR.

In part two, we learned about how TR came from a small town in upstate New York, but by the time he was 21, he was a millionaire.

And now we're in part three, where we learned that being a millionaire with

a jet in multiple cars just wasn't enough.

He was restless.

I will read from the peace as we teased at the end of part two.

He was living the dream, but he was also restless.

In 2012, a year after purchasing the yacht,

he bought a training jet for fighter pilots

that required special parts from overseas.

He said he called up a former Soviet test pilot who found the required parts on a former

Cold War base in Hungary.

Parenthetically, the pilot, TR named, contacted in Los Angeles, said he doesn't remember the incident, suggested

someone else assisted T.R. and added that the parts likely came from Bulgaria.

There's a guy smoking a cigarette, said T.R TR of his purchase overseas, and he comes in real shady.
