Welcome into the lounge presented by Draft Kings. I'm Ryan Mink here with Garrett Downing,

and we are going to give you our reaction to the news that Lamar Jackson did not win his third MVP.

Josh Allen took the honor and quite quite frankly, disappointed and surprised.

I thought that it was trending in Lamar's way.

He was first team all pro.

He won the NFLPA honors as the best quarterback in the league this year,

as voted on by other players around the league.

And it looked like Lamar was destined for MV3.

And that was not the case.

Yeah, this was a really interesting MVP year.

When you go back and you look at the entire year,

Josh Allen was kind of leading the way.

And then over the course of the last month of the season,

Lamar chipped away at that.

And then it flipped to in this offseason where Lamar was then the favorite.

He went from Josh Allen leading away from much of the year,

became basically a dead heat during the final few weeks of the season.

And then Lamar surpassed him just from abetting odds and public perception standpoint.

And so then going into it, I think everybody was thinking, this is Lamar's to lose.

He was first team all pro.

That same group of voters is who votes for the MVP.

So that same group of voters voted for Lamar to be the first team all pro quarterback,
