safety, Demar Hamlin, who collapsed on the field during the first quarter of last

night's game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. The absolute latest

information we have came from the team and a tweet that was posted at 148 AM Eastern

today. Demar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the

Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the University

of Cincinnati Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated

and listed in critical condition. That was 148 AM Eastern. If you're listening, if

you're watching, you're most likely familiar with what transpired in a very widely

anticipated game as things were basically just getting going. It appeared to be a routine

play, a routine hit. Demar Hamlin got up and Demar Hamlin collapsed on the field. We

see the precautions that kick in on a regular basis. The activities that the trainers

and the medical staff engage in mainly as a precaution. We get used to it. At some

point, it became obvious that this was more serious than the usual precautions that are

implemented and deployed in situations like this. An ambulance was on the field. CPR

was performed. Joe Buck of ESPN said for nine minutes, an automatic external defibrillator

device was used to restore the heartbeat of Demar Hamlin and Demar Hamlin was taken

to the hospital for treatment for care and the game eventually was suspended after a period

of time where people who are dealing with unprecedented circumstances are trying to

figure out the right way to proceed. It was a difficult night for anyone who cares about

the sport of football and the men who play it. It was a difficult night for those trying
