And then the off season just has been off the rails

before even today.

But Ben and I are here to bring you guys

some quick hit thoughts here because Iowa State Wrestling had itself a day to give

context to what the situation is I guess with us. I'm in Vegas this week for a corporate corporate job stuff and I'm in Vegas this week for a corporate job stuff and I'm also sick.

If I sound like crap it's because I feel like it.

But like I said, I took a quick nap and I are not fitting on this podcast to talk about how Iowa State just shocked the wrestling world after landing a commitment from Cody Chittum who flipped his commitment from Iowa to Iowa State.

And Ben, you made a joke about this earlier, but I always, this happens to me I feel like every

summer where these kids decide to make their commitments and it's like the worst possible time for me with a different job so I was running around in circles of course not able to breathe out my nose and I look at my phone and I'm like, oh, crap.

So, I mean, Ben, what were you doing?

First initial thoughts when you saw that news hit Twitter.

Thanks for our friends that stale me. Yeah, my first initial thoughts were like, oh boy, this is significant because I knew

Cody Chitt and I knew his name but I didn't know that much about him.

I knew he was a highly ranked recruit, but like once he committed to Iowa, I'm like,

good for them, they got another highly ranked recruit.

And then when I saw he switched his commitment, I did some more, I researched and and well turns out this guy is the number one

pound for pound recruit in the nation according to both flow wrestling and Matt

scouts so the comparison I've been making to people is this is like Arch Manning the

number one ranked football recruit switching his command from Texas to go to Texas

A&M or it's like Trevor Lawrence a couple years ago flipping his commandment from Clemson to go to South Carolina like this is like for Iowa State. This is the biggest wrestling recruit get ever for sure in the Dresser
