She's sitting in for Garrett today as he's on vacation.

And we are going to break down Justin Matabike receiving the franchise tag today from the Ravens.

And tell you, talk about what's next for the Ravens, what this means, both short term and long term,

and other franchise tag news from around the league and what it could mean for the Ravens.

So Cassie, you know, Eric Takasa first said in his statement, he said, we're unable to agree on a contract

extends from with Justin before the deadline and we'll use the franchise tag.

Justin is a great player in person and we will continue to negotiate a long-term deal with him.

So that's the official word.

What was your official reaction to the news of Matabike getting the tag?

Yeah, I mean, one way or the other, it's great to know that he's under contract for next season.

We have another season of him here, you know, that he'll be playing on the field,

regardless of what happens from here on out, that he's back again.

You know, we kind of knew this was coming.

DeGrasa told reporters last week at the Combine that they couldn't reach a deal.

He would use the franchise tag, and that's exactly what happened.

We had the story was ready. The graphic for social was ready. The highlight video was ready.

One way or the other, we were doing something with him today. Right, right. We had the story

ready. We also had the story ready. You know, they reach an extension just in case, you know, crossing

our fingers. And we have that graphic ready, too, that we could use any time between now and July 15th.

So that one gets dusted off, you know, sometime down the road here.
