0:33.1	following an initial report from UFC Broadcast Partner ESPN.
0:38.3	The main event for UFC 279 on September 10th will not be a world-champion,
0:45.0	which if fight, it will be in fact a well-to-weight match-up between Hamzat Shemaev and one Nathan Diaz.
0:52.9	Another report has stated that verbal agreements are in place for this big match-up.
0:57.9	Five rounds to headline the UFC's return to Sin City to the T-Mobile Arena.
1:03.1	And yes, Nathan Diaz apparently has gotten his wish to fight out the final bout of his UFC
1:10.4	deal, and he will do it in a big one against the surging Shemaev, who is coming off a big decision
1:15.9	win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 273 in Jacksonville, Florida back in April. Diaz has been very vocal
1:24.3	over the last several months, including a tell-all of Swartz interview on the MMAR with Ariel Hawani.
1:31.4	He wanted this final fight. He feels like he's been in the grasp, if you will, of the UFC.
1:38.2	And he wanted this fight against absolutely anybody. He even, I don't even know if he's joking
1:43.2	about this, was saying, give me Adesanya, give me Francis and Ghanu, because he's essentially
1:48.9	been on ice since his decision lost to Leon Edwards back in June of 2021. Over a year ago,
1:55.6	at UFC 263 and out of peers, he will get his wish. And apparently he's going to close the show
2:01.2	in Las Vegas of September 10th, so there's a lot to unpack here. And joining me in doing so
