But the Giants have decided not to fire Joe Shane and not to fire Brian Dable.

Package deal.

They're keeping them together.

And they're retaining them for the 2025 season at the very least.

We had earlier the news of this break.

And then John Mara met with Giants reporters and said, look, I'm going to make the decision. I'm going to give you guys some comments because there's no way I can go ahead and make decision without talking to the media. So we got that. And then we got Brian Dable speaking with the Giants media just shortly before recording this. Joe Shane is set to speak today as well. We are recording this before that. So we will not have any information

on that, though, uh, judging off of Brian Dable's comments and his, I guess you want to call it

press or whatever from today. And, you know, his past comments and pressers, Joe Shane's and his

past comments pressers, I doubt we're going to get much, if anything at all from either of those two.

I got nothing from the Brian Dable comments,

literally nothing, and I just listen to them. So let's go on what we do have from. And that's the

John Mara comments because he did say a lot, Giants owner John Mara. So where do you want to start?

There's a lot to unpack here. There is a lot to unpack here. First, I think we should probably

start with some of our thoughts on this, because we discussed it yesterday.

Look, we believed it was a possibility that Brian Daible was going to keep his job. It was trending in that direction. And I don't think this is the worst case scenario. I think the worst case scenario was probably firing Daible and then bringing someone else in. But regardless of the fact, did Joe Shane or Brian David will really do

anything to retain their jobs? And no, the answer is probably not, right? Like a lot of this,

like this, this doesn't seem to me to be like this merit based retention, right? Like you have the

2024 draft and that's something that John Mara also brought up during his press conference.

But this seemingly magnanimous nature from John Mara, I think it's just due to the fact that
