Auburn wins 78 to 67 against South Alabama in the opening round of the NIT.

It was not very good in the first half.

It looked like nobody wanted to be there.

Nobody was making shots.

But credit to this team, credit to the coaching staff, changes seem to be at halftime and it looked like a totally different team in the second half.

Yeah, frustrating first half.

I mean, just embarrassing, frustrating.

A lot of second guessing, you're like, look, why did this team even accept a bid to the NIT if this is the kind of performance they're going to put on in the first half? They look disjointed. They didn't look like they wanted to be out there. You got the Kees-Shon-Murphy situation that happens, who opts out. And it was just kind of a worst-case scenario. South Alabama's shot 55% in the first half. And you're wondering,

you're like, why is Auburn shooting so many threes when they're bigger than South

Alabama? They have an advantage inside. They're out rebounding South Alabama. Well, there must

have been a scout that to Auburn's credit for the second half turned out to be accurate

and the way that that zone that South Alabama plays, you do have to attack them through

shooting the three ball. And look what Auburn did in the second half with the three ball.
