It seemed like the price they paid wasn't exactly high.

They paid a 20-year-old prospect and a conditional third.

The only reason I think it was that low of a price tag was because he makes like $11 million,

and he's on the wrong side of 30.

That being said, he still can play at an elite

level. So yeah, it's another move that a local team missed out on when they're winning.

And again, the wings are in a fantastic cap position. Yeah, 100%. And they could have been

deferred money to or resented money. They have two needs, realistic needs, okay, a top six forward or probably a top four

defenseman. And I'm not just saying the top four defensemen because Evanson is hurt and is

going to be out through the break. They still need to shore up that blue line. And ASP, I think

it's fair to say ASP has been disappointing. Okay. So look, this qualifies.

This guy still has juice.

This is a guy still on pace for 70, 80 assists this year.

It's a guy who on, look, the Rangers can't score in a whorehouse.

You put him on a team that has some better options, which the wings do.
