What's up, Motivators? Happy New Year, everyone. Welcome to a new season and a lot of people.

0:05.2

Every single year, whether it is going to your first race or going to your 50th race,

0:09.8

most people are entering the races that they want with some goals in mind.

0:15.1

We hear this every single year where people have big goals, very big personal goals. And sometimes those personal goals

0:22.4

are just finish a race that intimidates them. Sometimes it's get on the podium of a local race.

0:28.1

Sometimes it's qualify for a world championship. But in every case, we're all pushing to be a

0:33.3

better version of ourselves. And whatever that better version of ourself means, whether it's just

0:37.9

finish or finish fast, they should all be rewarded and we should all work to set ourselves up

1:17.2

goal or do you have a process goal? All of these things that surround all of your goal setting

1:23.5

are going to dictate how likely it is that you're going to actually reach your goals. So I thought

1:29.0

that it would be very worth today being the start of the year, worth diving into how do you

1:35.2

structure a training plan in conjunction with your goals so that they complement each other

1:40.6

and you're going to be more likely to actually reach your goals so that you enjoy the

1:45.7

process of reaching those goals. And so that if you get to that goal and reach it, it's so much

1:51.0

more fulfilling and maybe even a bigger goal than you would have set if you didn't use these methods

1:55.8

or maybe you get to that day and you just don't have the stuff on race day, but you can still
