On today's podcast, we've got Kevin Kirby.

He was first diagnosed with addiction 16 years ago and he's been in

remission for 13 years. We'll talk about the words I just used to describe our

interview we later in the interview.'s pretty interesting and it's actually

gonna make a lot of sense but before we get any further I'd like to make an apology

there was a tremendous oversight on my part a couple podcasts ago.

Episode 69 was discussing people that I've interviewed on this podcast.

A lot of them have relapsed.

A lot of them have stayed sober.

We are facing one of the most difficult diseases that mankind

has ever confronted. That's going to be the topic of today's podcast. But the

number one reason why I am doing the Recovery Elevator podcast is to fight the stigma and for the featured image I had on the podcast blog post

was a photo of a woman in her orange jumpsuit. Yeah, nice job Pablo. Didn't quite use the brain on that one. So I'd like to

apologize for that. And I'd like to be clear, I was actually going to bat for that person at a time on social media and news.

I didn't see anybody going to bat for her.

I saw a lot of people taking easy swings with a bat at her.
