because Margot's Got Money Troubles is going to be a show on Apple TV. I think I think

Ruffy gets into that a little bit in this chat. We also talk about Brett Hart. You know,

Lindsay was going to miss an opportunity to talk about her beloved Brett and his very pro-Canada

heel run. It was a great chat. I am very much looking forward to you getting to hear it again,

and I'm looking forward to watching Margot's Got Money Troubles when it premieres later on in April

They've got a podcast. Fights and Fights is the name. Welcome back to Tights and Fights. I'm Hale Lublin and I'm joined today by Lindsay Kelk. And now we welcome our guest this week. Author of the book Margot's Got Money Troubles. It's the truthy Rufie Thorpe. Welcome to Tites and Fights, Rufi. Oh, I'm so excited to be here. Thank you so much for having me. I'm excited to talk about Brad Hart with you, but I'm also really excited to talk about this book because I was reading about it, and I got very excited. Tell us all about the book and sort of how wrestling plays into it. So I'll give you the little logline it's's basically about Margo, who's a community college student who has an ill-advised affair with her English professor.

She gets knocked up, decides to keep the baby and winds up supporting herself and then only fans with the help of her ex-pro wrestler dad.

And, of course, her account takes off, and that is when all the real trouble begins.

So that's sort of the premise of the book.

And in terms of her dad, Jinks, he is sort of like modeled on like a Paul Ellering type,

where he's been the like on screen and off screen manager of a very

famous tag team. So he's like been in the world of wrestling but is no longer actively

wrestling. Oh, that's fascinating. So there's going to be a TV show of the same name on Apple TV.

How did those two projects, how did they come together? It was all a big surprise. I

didn't even know that this could happen, but basically when we submitted the final manuscript,

then for my U.S. publisher, they sent it to International to try and, you know, sell the book

in other countries and book scouts for the film industry got a hold of it. And so then we were getting
