The Supreme Court is an anti-democratic, hyper-reactionary institution, totally free from any semblence of accountability. It is nothing more than another arm of the far-right movement in this godforsaken, shithole country.
In this month old episode, Alyson and Breht discuss the Supreme Court and the implications of Roe's dismantling.

0:00.0 | First and foremost, we're going to focus on the recent Supreme Court draft leak, and it is just a leak, right? |
0:06.8 | So this is not an actual law being imposed yet. There's some confusion about that. |
0:10.4 | But we're going to talk about that first and foremost. |
0:12.7 | And I think, Allison, if you want to bring us into that conversation, kind of set that up for us. |
0:16.2 | Totally. Yeah. So, you know, kind of setting the stage a little bit like Brad said. |
0:20.4 | And like I'm sure everyone's heard at this point a draft leaked for a majority decision |
0:26.0 | that would essentially overturn Roe vs Wade. And obviously that has some massive implications. |
0:32.8 | In the wake of this draft leaking, we've also seen several states passing laws to basically |

1:15.2 | that there is still time to organize, which many people are doing, to try to create pressure to |
1:19.6 | push things in a different direction. So I do think recognizing that we are talking about a draft |
1:25.3 | is important. That said, there are a couple of updates that have happened since that draft has |
1:29.7 | leaked, perhaps most importantly, today a Senate vote. So the Democrats tried to rush and put |
1:37.4 | together a bill to codify legalized abortion at the federal level, and that bill failed today |
1:44.8 | in the Senate with a 51-49 vote, and surprisingly with Joe Manchin citing with the Republicans on that. |
1:51.6 | That was more or less predicted to fail. It is no surprise to anyone, but I do think that that |
