I am an international student from Nigeria and I go to Michigan State University.

Last semester, I was going through a lot of things with lies that I myself as an individual believe,

and I didn't even know that I did.

And I went on Amazon and I was like, okay, Nancy Lewis is great.

And so I saw the book Lies Women Believing a shirt that sets them free.

And I was reading through it and it was so convicting. It was like like you may think that you don't believe this lie, but

Like let's say you have like an anger issue.

How do you do with it?

Do you go to food for comfort?

And then do you tell yourself that this isn't anything that's going to affect me?

It was just really helpful for me to see not just the gospel from the beginning of that food pattern, I'm going to Food for Comfort, when I saw Eve, like the very first sin had to do with the fruit. Like, food. And so it's like, wow, this is crazy. Like, this is true. Like, I believe this lie. And it was really helpful.

So I read the book Lies When I Leave and I live the girls in the dorm. And so I remember

telling them about the book and they were like, I'm going to get this book too. Because it was

so rich. There are things in our lives that we both, we all struggled with and it spoke to in ways that

I as a young Christian or I as a, I mean, a teenager, couldn't speak to.

So it's really helpful to just like have those friends come alongside me and be like, I'm getting that book too.
