O heavenly king, comforter, spirit of truth, who art everywhere present and philist all things,

treasure of good things and giver of life, come and dwell in us and cleanse us of all impurity

and save our souls.

Okay, now I know we covered the seal, the seal of confession last time,

but I'm going to read you just the last paragraph from the Roman Catechism of Trent that we cover last time,

because I do want to go over the great importance of the secret of the seal of confession one more time.

Okay, so the Roman Catechism of Trent reads, since each one is most anxious that his sins and defilements should be buried in oblivion,

the faithful are to be admonished that there is no reason whatever to apprehend

that what is made known in confession will ever be revealed by the priest to anyone,

or that by it the penitent can at any time be brought

into danger of any sort. The laws of the church threaten the severest penalties against any

priests who would fail to observe a perpetual and religious silence concerning all the sins

confessed to them. Let the priest says the great

counsel of Lateran take special care neither by word or sign nor by any other means

whatever to betray in the least degree the sinner. Okay and then meet for the first time today.
